Thanks for visiting my website! My name is Brooke Martin, I’m a 19 year-old sophomore attending Stanford University. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to attend Stanford to pursue my undergraduate degree in Management Science and Engineering as a member of the class of 2021. When I was 12, I invented iCPooch, a device that lets you video chat with your dog and deliver a treat from anywhere in the world by pushing a button on your smartphone, tablet or computer. I also spent time working on adapting this technology to applications in the healthcare industry, with a product called iCLovedOnes.
When I began my 8th grade school project investigating what it takes to be an entrepreneur, I certainly couldn’t have guessed where this incredible journey would lead; and I’m excited every day to discover what’s around the next bend. In the past 5 years, I’ve interacted with software engineers, patent attorneys, marketing experts, scientists, fabrication companies, and many, many dog lovers. I’ve been afforded incredible opportunities to participate in experiences like ABC’s Shark Tank in Los Angeles, Discovery Education’s 3M Young Scientist Challenge in St. Paul, Purina’s “Better with Pets” Summit in New York, a TEDx presentation in Spokane, the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, GeekWire’s Tech Summit in Seattle and many others. I've also had the opportunity to create a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to help fund my company. One of my proudest moments has been being asked to become a member of Independent Youth, a non-profit organization based in St Louis, MO as a member of their "Teen Network", a group of young entrepreneurs from around the U.S.
When I think back, I realize that I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. In scouting since the age of four, I learned early on that we all have the power – and even the responsibility – to affect change. I find genuine satisfaction in being part of “the solution.” One of my greatest passions is to bridge the gap between a dream and its reality; and I love to inspire others to work toward their dreams as well. My other passions include riding and competing with my two beloved Morgan horses, Bear and Corey, riding for the Stanford Equestrian Team, playing the piano and violin, running, reading, writing, drawing and shopping. In high school I was a dedicated student who graduated in June, 2017 with a 4.0 GPA and my International Baccalaureate diploma from Saint George's School in Spokane. I was instrumental in helping my First Robotics team become FIRST Championship Turing Sub-Division Winner for 2017. I love spending time with my friends, family, and our three golden retrievers, Kayla, Zoey, and Noel.
We are only limited by the things that we allow to limit us. The keys to success are already in our pocket. You just need someone to show you the lock and encourage you to open the door.
As an award-winning speaker and innovator, I will bring new life and connection to your next event. Contact me, and we can design a presentation that fits the needs that you have today!
