A device to allow dog owners to video chat with their pet and remotely deliver treats, iCPooch was founded in 2012. Inspired by my golden retriever Kayla's separation anxiety, I was motivated to explore solutions for improved virtual connection with our canine family members.
At just 12 years old, I attended Startup Weekend Spokane to pitch my idea, where I was enthusiastically met by mentors, supporters, and teammates to help make iCPooch a reality. Over two years of development, we formed a company, raised $0.5 Million in capital, and worked to build the technology for a hardware+software consumer product.
Thousands of units were sold through various distribution channels such as Amazon and Bed, Bath & Beyond. iCPooch has been featured on ABC's Shark Tank, NBC Nightly News, Fox Business, The Meredith Vieira Show, The New York Times, NPR, and many other prominent media outlets.
After 3 years in the marketplace, iCPooch was shut down in 2017, but I remain a lifetime advocate for video chatting with your dogs.
iCPooch successfully met 150% of our 2014 Kickstarter goal, securing company funding & product support.
